Look how stunning this bridal portrait is. This is my dear friend Yuki who got married at Willow Heights Mansion down in Morgan Hill, California. We've been friends since college in Seattle along with her husband. When I started wedding photography. We always joked about shooting her wedding one day in the future. After all, she had been dating Phil for a long time already and all the friends already know they were going to walk down the isle together. As a result, then it came to wedding planning, I was her first choice for wedding photographer. Conveniently, the venue had everything else covered including the catering, the DJ, and flower and decoration.
This photograph was taken inside the bridal room. As one can tell, it's exposed with natural light. It was a successful application of what I have actually learned from Ryan Schembri's workshop in WPPI Las Vegas. It was the emphasis of from highlight to shadow that creates the dimension and texture. Without not much of distraction in the background and a tight camera crop. It was extremely simple but elegant. A simple but classic bridal portrait is a must for every bride at her wedding. And I pride myself in delivering this sophisticated bridal portrait to Yukiko.
