I absolutely adore this image of Tami and Chris. This is one of the many night wedding portraits I shot for them after the ceremony. The day was challenging because not by the time we finished the family portraits after the ceremony, the day has already turned dark which left me limited options for photographs. However, it also gave me the chance to really grasp the opportunity to create stunning night portraits for the bride and groom. This picture was taken right outside Court in the Square (where the ceremony was taken place). Photography is not always about location. If you know how to control lighting, composition, and emotion, then you can create beautiful images anywhere and everywhere. And that is what happened in this scenario. As soon as I finished the family portraits and escorted all the family members back to the cocktail hour, I saw the Seattle landscape behind and and immediately had the couple play around with each other on the curb. I had them dance around and kiss each other. And I guess the bus passing by added into the background as an accidental beauty that really enhanced the emotions of the photograph.
