One of the best perks of being a wedding photographer is experiencing many different cultures. I had the pleasure of shooting at a breathtaking Somali Muslim wedding in Portland. This shot is a glimpse of the colorful Somali Muslim Wedding traditions that I got to witness. The bride and I had so much fun shooting this bridal portrait. I especially loved the vibrant gold of the traditional wedding attire worn by the bride. I think the rich and festive atmosphere of the traditional Somali wedding ceremony was really reflected in her gown. That’s why during the shot, I really wanted to bring the emphasis on her beautiful attire.
