ABOUT Laura & Eli'S WEDDING

Laura and Eli are the textbook definition of classy and elegant. When I met the couple at the Seattle Wedding Show back in 2020, they told me of their plans to hold their wedding later that year. But as the COVID-19 pandemic surged and large gatherings everywhere were promptly postponed or called off altogether, Laura and Eli made the difficult decision to postpone their own special day. 

At long last, in September of 2022, the long awaited ceremony finally took place at the Lairmont Manor, one of Bellingham, Washington’s most stunning landmarks.

Lairmont Manor is one of those venues whose exquisite appearance just can’t be adequately captured in words. Couples will often search for a venue that doesn’t need much in the way of added decoration, and the Lairmont perfectly fits that bill with its breathtaking gardens and classic Pacific Northwest nature backdrop that speaks for itself. The aisle, made with red tile, leads up to a beautiful fountain surrounded by pristine, freshly cut grass. Designed in the early twentieth century as an Italian Renaissance-style home and estate, the Lairmont also boasts a rich history that has included famous guests, such as legendary musicians such as Marian Anderson and Larry Knetchel. 

While Eli and his groomsmen prepped for the big day in Lairmont’s spacious basement, Laura and her party opted to get ready at Hotel Bellwether, located just a few minutes from Lairmont Manor. The entire morning was already filled with laughter and tears of joy. Laura’s sister Anna couldn’t hold back happy tears as she watched Laura walk out into the hotel room in her classic lace-adorned dress and delicately curled hair. But of course, the waterworks didn’t stop there; the first look, followed by the beautiful ceremony, was positively overflowing with emotion. 

Held at one of the Pacific Northwest’s most classic venues, Laura and Eli’s wedding was a classy event for the ages.
